Hi, so I am not Lucille.

My name is Alex. The Lucille Club is a labor of love, aided by many delicious drinks. I love making and enjoying cocktails at home. Cocktail making is so fun, but also intimidating for a lot of people. ‘I have to buy so many different bottles and tools, argh no thanks.’

Enters The Lucille Club. I want to bring cocktail explorers like you together, and make enjoying homemade cocktails easy for you. This is a place for exploring the cocktail world and for fun mixing experiments with curious minded people.

At The Lucille Club, you’ll find out how to turn the only 3 bottles you have at home into dozens of kick-ass drinks that’ll impress your most snobbish drinker friend. Oh you’ll also definitely meet some not-snobbish friends here.

I love cocktails and am constantly fascinated by how many different expressions, knowledge, and stories a tiny glass of liquid can contain. Join me to geek out about cocktail! I promise you this is a different kind of fun you’ll have from drinking in cocktail bars (which I also love to do).

But seriously, Lucille Who?

Hint: Wink.

For the Arrested Development fans, if you didn’t get it, time to re-watch the show. If you’ve never watched it, go make yourself a cold, crisp Martini and watch Lucille Bluth being a sassy mean Vodka queen. Obviously I don’t want us turning into her, but the wonderful late Jessica Walter has made me physically unable sipping a Martini without winking at my dinner party.

What does The Lucille Club offer?

Once we go live, you can expect:

  • Party Time at least once a month, there will be themes (I love a themed party!), and games and teleportation might be involved.

  • Bi-weekly newsletter with practical tips, fun facts, recipes to get you started enjoying cocktails at home.

  • Not Crappy Bar Cart challenge, where I’ll create personalized home cocktail menu for you.

Those are just the initial projects! I have so many more that I want to bring to you, but as a one woman band, one thing at a time. ;) If you’ve got ideas, I’d love to hear from you too! Let’s chat.

Essentially, this is where you can

  • have a laugh when your concoction tastes worse than airplane coffee, and celebrate any wins with too many gifs and emojis.

  • get practical tips and learn techniques that’ll help anything you make taste even better.

  • find out what kind of booze and drinks you like, and more importantly, what you dislike or should avoid at all cost.

  • learn interesting stories, history, and trivia about booze, bartenders, and cocktails.

  • ask questions, big or small. Even if I don’t have the answer, I’ll hunt it down for you.
